Cultural Rights and Peace: Professional Perspectives and Applications Seminar
The University of Andorra (UdA), in collaboration with the Pau Casals UNESCO Chair, presents the seminar “Cultural Rights and Peace: Professional Perspectives and Applications”, a training program that proposes rethinking the relationship between culture and peace in today’s world. Through theoretical and practical sessions, the course promotes reflection and debate on how cultural rights and their interconnections can become a key element in peacebuilding.
Based on the premise that cultural rights are part of human rights, the course offers spaces for analysis and reflection so that participants can acquire tools to foster a culture of non-violence and develop skills for conflict management.
The training is structured into three in-person sessions, which will take place on Saturdays, March 7, March 21 and April 21. One of these sessions will consist of a study visit to the Pau Casals Museum in Sant Salvador (El Vendrell, Baix Penedès). In addition, registration includes a free ticket to a commemorative Pau Casals concert at the Palau de la Música Catalana, which will take place in June.
Registrations can be completed until February 13 via a form available on the UdA website. Participants who successfully complete the evaluation process will receive a certificate of completion issued by the University of Andorra in collaboration with the UNESCO Pau Casals Chair.
